Taipei 101 Countdown (台北101跨年倒數晚會2026) 🎆

Taipei 101, the 101-story skyscraper and iconic landmark of Taiwan, hosts the spectacular annual New Year’s fireworks display each year.

This year, celebrations kick off on 27 December 2025 with nightly light projection shows on Taiwan’s tallest building. The theme celebrates Disney Pixar’s Toy Story in honor of its 30th anniversary. Surrounding Taipei 101, dazzling light installations featuring beloved characters will create perfect photo opportunities for both children and the young-at-heart. Selected character mascots will also appear each evening to greet visitors.

At the very first second of 2026, a six-minute fireworks show will light up the sky, accompanied by original compositions from young Taiwanese musicians. After the fireworks, projections of Toy Story characters will appear on the skyscraper, sending New Year greetings and creating a magical finale to the celebration.

New Taipei City New Year Celebration (閃耀新北1314跨河煙火) 🎆

New Taipei City is hosting a 5-hour New Year’s Eve celebration from 4:30pm to 9:30pm at the scenic Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf and Balizuo’an Park, with the two located on opposite banks of the Tamsui River.

The event will feature headline performances by Hwasa 화사 華莎 of the K-pop girl group Mamamoo 마마무, along with Taiwanese Mandopop legends Power Station 動力火車, Tarcy Su 蘇慧倫 and Ricky Hsiao 蕭煌奇. Attendees can look forward to a night filled with live performances across multiple music genres.

Although the celebration will end before midnight and there will be no countdown to 2026, there will be a 13-minute, 14-second fireworks display at 8:26pm, a number symbolizing eternity in Chinese culture. The spectacular show will light up the sky with the Lover’s Bridge 情人橋  as a stunning backdrop, creating a truly memorable experience.

The city renowned as the gateway to Taiwan’s famous mountain, Alishan, will host its New Year’s Eve celebration at Chiayi City Hall for the first time. The festivities will coincide with the Chiayi City Expo, offering visitors an extra opportunity to explore and enjoy activities before the concert kicks off at dusk.

The night’s lineup features some of Taiwan’s most beloved artists, including Ricky Hsiao 蕭煌奇 and Show Lo 羅志祥, along with a dozen rising stars ready to dazzle the audience. The centerpiece of the evening is the midnight countdown, immediately followed by an electrifying performance from Solar 솔라 / 頌樂 of the K-pop sensation Mamamoo 마마무.

After a 12-year break, the New Year celebration in Yunlin is making a grand return. This year’s festivities will be held at Yunlin Stadium and feature an impressive lineup of performers, including K-pop group HIGHLIGHT 하이라이트 (formerly BEAST 비스트), alongside Taiwanese stars Show Lo 羅志祥, Nickthereal 周湯豪, and Golden Melody Award Best Female Singer Eve Ai 艾怡良.

As midnight approaches, the night sky over Huwei Township will be set ablaze with a spectacular semi-circular, arc-shaped fireworks display that will encircle the stadium, creating a breathtaking welcome to the New Year.

Tainan’s New Year’s Eve (NYE) celebration is poised to be one of Taiwan’s most internationally diverse countdown events this year.

The star-studded lineup brings together top talent from across Asia, including South Korean K-pop girl group STAYC 스테이씨, rising K-pop boy band ALL(H)OURS 올아워즈, Japanese J-pop singer Airi Suzuki 鈴木愛理, and Hong Kong singer Jeffrey Ngai 魏浚笙. Hsinchu is set to ring in the New Year with a show-stopping concert featuring multiple Golden Melody Award winners!

Building excitement toward the midnight countdown, the show will showcase some of Taiwan’s top musical talents, including Golden Melody Award winners Tarcy Su 蘇慧倫, WeiBird 韋禮安, Shi Shi 孫盛希, Trout Fresh 呂士軒 and TRASH. They will be joined by more than a dozen additional artists, all ready to electrify the crowd.

Beyond the main stage, a 100-stall food fair will offer a wide variety of snacks and local favorites, keeping revelers energized as they await the final moments of the year. When the clock strikes midnight, a thrilling 300-second fireworks display will light up the sky, bringing the celebration to a glittering close.

Taichung’s New Year’s Eve celebration will light up the city with an electrifying five-hour concert at the lush Taichung Central Park in Xitun District, featuring 16 top artists and bands. The star-studded lineup includes Crowd Lu 盧廣仲, Accusefive 告五人, Mixer 麋先生, TRASH, and more.

The night’s biggest highlight comes as Mandopop icon Jam Hsiao 蕭敬騰 takes the stage to lead the countdown to midnight, accompanied by a spectacular 180-second fireworks display. The impressive lineup features beloved artists A-Lin, Mavis Fan 范曉萱 & 100%, Nine One One 玖壹壹, and Miss Ko 葛仲珊, building the excitement to a climax as the countdown to 2026 unfolds.

Taoyuan’s New Year’s Eve concert this year showcases an impressive lineup, including K-pop girl group Apink 에이핑크, Malaysian singer Andrew Tan 陳勢安, Taiwanese actress-singer Vivian Hsu 徐若瑄, singer-songwriter Xiao Bing Chih 蕭秉治, rapper J.Sheon 莊珣, vocalist Landy Wen 溫嵐, and many more.

With over 20,000 fans expected at Rakuten Taoyuan Baseball Stadium, additional outdoor seating areas will feature live telecasts of the concert for those seeking a different perspective.
